Perfect personalized tour and a great value! After reviewing at least 100 options, we picked this tour primarily because it was private and enclosed on an abnormally cold NOLA day. We were very impressed from the beginning. Paul was very organized from the start, he reached out to let us know he’d pick us up at our hotel and sent us a couple docs about the city. He arrived early in a very clean RAV4 that was the perfect size for easy conversation and easy navigation of the city. The tour itself was very interesting and informative, all tailored to our interests. This was our 3rd trip to NOLA and we learned so much in our 2 hours with Paul! The tour shaped the rest of our trip and left us with a future to do list. We highly recommended Paul’s tour over and over again and will continue to do so!

I had the pleasure of meeting Paul during my visit to New Orleans, where he gave us a wonderful tour of Mardi Gras Land and the mighty Mississippi. He provided an informative document highlighting the best restaurants and activities the Crescent City has to offer, and even gave me fantastic recommendations for the weekend. Next, I planned a customized tour on Monday, and BOY WAS IT BEAUTIFUL! We went on a breathtaking swamp tour, followed by a meal at Acme Oyster House—where the chargrilled oysters were out of this world. Paul was so accommodating, especially with my two young boys, and we topped off the experience with dessert at Café Du Monde. Pure joy. What would’ve been a decent vacation turned into the vacation of a lifetime, thanks to Paul.

Mr. Paul is a wealth of knowledge and knows NOLA backwards and forwards. Make sure this is your first tour of your trip if you can, just like everyone else has mentioned. My husband and I have left our time with Paul as friends. First, Paul is the warmest and most thoughtful person, funny, full of information and passionate. We enjoyed every minute of our time with him from the second we met until the end! Second, our trip was truly personalized. I recommend that you tell him beforehand what your interests are if you have them, or ask him what you think the agenda should be based off your interests or curiosities. We learned so much on our trip about City Park, Metairie Cemetery, Garden District, French Quarter, and more! This is a perfect tour for families, singles, whoever! He took so much time with us and made us feel special all around. You would be hard pressed to find a sub-optimal review on him and if you do, you might have to think twice about the quality of the reviewer… Just saying 🙂 I also agree with everyone that his list of recommendations that he gives to you, is years and years of a local’s cumulative recommendations- absolute gold! What a great experience and tour we had with Paul!

Paul took us (my 8yo son, 5yo daughter and myself) on a driving tour around NOLA. I was so impressed with his ability to curate the tour to the kids. They learned so much more than I expected and were telling our friends and family all about it when we got home. I loved how he pointed out kid friendly places for them to connect to on the tour-a beautiful library for a school, stop at the playground, playing at the big oak trees and so much more. He went above and beyond when he was getting my daughter excited about the playground and went down the slide himself. 🙂 I didn’t expect them to really hold onto much of the info from that day b/c we fit a lot in but I can tell they really were listening and absorbing so much of what Paul spoke about. I think in part b/c of his delivery but also b/c of his warm, friendly demeanor.
He really knows his stuff and is a genuinely kind person to meet who loves his city. Super recommend to all.

My husband and I don’t normally take tours when we travel but we wanted to get the most out of our stay in NOLA. We did some homework and decided that Paul’s NOLA’s BIG 4 Private City Tour sounded good. Was it good? It was wonderful!! Not only did we get to see places that we undoubtedly would have missed, but Paul provided a lot of information (facts!) that we definitely used during our trip. If you want to discover and learn about the wonderful city of New Orleans, look no further. We did a 2-hour tour with Paul on our first day. So glad we did as it was a wonderful introduction to the city and a great orientation, which enabled us to return at our leisure to points of interest close to our hotel. Paul took us through the French Quarter, Jackson Square, Garden District, Metairie Cemetery and City Park. His commentary on each area was interesting and informative.

We so enjoyed our time with Paul that we booked him the next day to take us further afield to Houmas House and gardens, the swamp boat tour and Oak Alley plantation. We spent most of the day together. Paul gave us a detailed history of the various places we visited. Paul was more than happy to stop so we could take photos. He also provided a page of helpful tips and suggestions for some great restaurants and sights to see.

So, what sets Paul’s tours apart from others? Firstly, the man himself. Paul is personable, friendly with a great sense of humor. By the second day it felt like we were out driving with a friend. Paul’s knowledge of his city is incredible and there wasn’t any question he couldn’t answer. Tell him what you want to do and see, and he will make it happen. He made our trip to New Orleans very memorable.

Thank you Paul for providing an excellent tour for my family. We were a party of two adults and one child. I found Paul’s tour online and reached out to him directly. He responded promptly and was so warm and kind. We collaborated on a date and time and we were all set! I texted him the day before our tour to reconfirm. He arrived promptly and was kind enough to wait a few minutes while we got ourselves together lol. The tour was wonderful! First, the tour was private and we were able to ask Paul anything…literally anything! He is so knowledgeable about his city and it does make a difference that he LOVES his city. This passion comes through throughout the tour. Paul deals in fact and I really appreciated this. If you want to know the truth about New Orleans, Paul will tell you. We saw sites on and off the beaten path and in fact Paul tailored the tour so we could see sites that would cater to my young daughter, I thought that was so thoughtful! We saw the massive and amazing City Park, which we actually returned to later in the day to enjoy. The tour length was perfect to have an overview of the city and highlights. Paul also gave us great suggestions on what to do, see, and eat. Overall, it was an awesome tour and I would highly recommend.

Paul was very knowledgeable and showed us different areas of New Orleans that a tourist doesn’t usually get to see on their own. He was friendly and his car was comfortable. He even made sure that I was able to get pictures that I wanted to get by slowing down or stopping the car if needed. We were only in NOLA for one full day, and this, by far, was the best tour we could have taken – the most bang for our buck if you will. I had actually never really wanted to visit NOLA again after our last trip but knowing that there are other things besides Bourbon Street to see and do has made me want to go back and visit the city again.

Paul’s tour exceeded my expectations. Most tours offered in New Orleans focus on specific neighborhoods or topics like French Quarter, cemeteries, voodoo and ghosts, etc., but Paul’s BIG 4 tour focuses on facts and also provides a great overview of the wonderful, eclectic city of New Orleans. It’s a perfect tour for those who have very limited time in the city, as he shows the highlights of the neighborhoods we pass through. We absolutely loved Paul and his tour! I had scheduled his private city tour for our first full day in New Orleans, as my friend had never been to New Orleans before and I thought that would give her a great overview of the city. I had also arranged for Paul to take us to Houmas House on our second day. Unfortunately, the airlines messed up our plans on the day we were to fly to New Orleans, which meant we’d be arriving a day late. When I called Paul with the news that we’d have to cancel our city tour, he was very understanding and offered a great solution to us: He said he would pick us up earlier on the day we were to head to Houmas House and he would give us a shortened version of the tour on our way up there. Paul is an absolute delight. He’s extremely knowledgeable, obviously loves his city, he’s great to communicate with, and was very accommodating to our schedule. We had a fantastic day, and everything worked out for the best – all thanks to him!

Such a great way to start the trip for someone who has never been to New Orleans. I highly recommend taking this tour on your first day. Paul was a wonderful tour guide. He knows New Orleans and is wonderful at explaining everything. He customized our tour to maximize the locations we hadn’t already explored and ended up showing us some places where tourists aren’t normally able to get to, due to his connections and a little bit of good luck. This was my first time visiting New Orleans, and I wanted a tour that would give me a good view of the various things the town is known for. Paul was a terrific guide and his love of the city was evident. He asked me a few questions at the start of the tour to get a sense of what my interests were and then we were off and running (well, he was driving actually). This was our second trip to NOLA and we should have taken this tour the first time we visited. Paul was a wealth of information and opened our eyes to things we were passing and not seeing. Paul was a super friendly guy. He arrived early to our Airbnb, which was a few blocks out from the French Quarter. He didn’t mind waiting as we gathered are stuff to meet him. It was St. Patrick’s Day weekend, so he took us to the Garden District first to avoid the parade street blocks. He is a former realtor so he knew a ton of information about the homes and their history. Then, we went to the French Quarter to areas that we would not have thought to go to. As we drove, he pointed out various places that we should check out on our own. Next, we went to the Lower 9th Ward, which was equally as fascinating. Last, but not least, we went to Metaire Cemetary, which is gigantic. It was so nice to be driven around to the exact highlights. After our tour, Paul dropped us off very close to the Irish Channel Parade route right before it was about to kick off, which was super convenient! It was so nice to have a private tour of New Orleans. There is no way we would have seen nearly ¼ the things that Paul showed us on our tour. I highly recommend it to any newcomers to New Orleans, especially if you only have a few days to see the city!

Imagine being escorted and entertained by a friend you haven’t met yet. “Mr Paul” uses his Southern charm and honed people skills to make you feel right at home. He is passionate about his hometown and he cares about YOU – your interests, your questions, your comprehension and ultimately your satisfaction with his tour. My husband and I were apprehensive (24 hour) tourists of New Orleans as we aren’t into the party scene and had a day to kill before our flight back; but thanks to Mr Paul’s tour, we can’t wait to come back to experience so much more of what New Orleans has to offer! What I loved the most is that I can remember, and I’ve retained, the BIG 4 IN THE BIG EASY! (Have you ever been on a tour that drones on and on and then you’re daydreaming?!) The 2+ hours were chockfull of information, facts, stories, history, etc. while being fun…..time flew by and I couldn’t believe we were in front of our hotel again. By far, this tour is the best bang for your buck!!
Mr. Paul is a wealth of information; please do yourself a favor and follow his advice. We LOVED all his recommendations: best gumbo near our hotel, beignet & coffee for the morning and Oak Alley plantation tour. Thank you Mr Paul!!!

Paul is the epitome of Southern Hospitality!! He went above and beyond as a tour guide. He picked us up right from our Airbnb, stopped when asked to take pictures, had interesting stories and anecdotes! For my first time in NOLA, this tour went higher than my expectations and the price point is unbeatable for a private intimate tour!! Learned a lot about the history, the culture, the people and Paul has a great sense of humor! This is a MUST DO experience for anyone wanting the real scoop in the area. I highly recommend booking your experience for the beginning of your trip. I am a Certified Travel Ambassador in Michigan and have guided and have been lead all over the country, and I can tell you, Paul knows his stuff. He was full of knowledge and had a fun way of presenting it. During our week long stay, we took part in all the touristy bus, boats and cars and yet we learned more about the area – the nitty gritty – the flair – the goodness from Paul than we did on any of the combined tours we did. It was helpful to be with Paul because as he drove us around, we were able to understand the area better because he explained as we went. Additionally, we were able to ask him many questions along the way. It was a two-way street of information, unlike other means of tours where they presented info and you had to sit and listen. I felt in a few hours we had made a friend. If you are going to do anything in New Orleans.. this should be at the top of your list. It was well worth it.
